Creating beautiful unique counter tops specifically for your kitchen, bathroom, patio and table.

By the nature of the product no two tops will ever be the same. Different aggregate (can use semiprecious stone too), different coloured sands, the addition of pre mix pigments and the post treatment or staining. These will all create varied colours and textures for your counters. We can even implant items like fossils, special stones, coins, glass or almost any other object you feel you want as a permanent feature.

THIS IS NOT ORDINARY CONCRETE!

We make up a special blend of polymers high grade cements and cement based colour pigments, fibers and reinforcing for strength.

The molds are custom built, so there is no chance of us making an identical counter. We may create similar counters but we will not be able to make the same counter twice.

Each mix is different, the source of the sand or stone, the exact % colour we use, the precise length of time it stays in the mold and the mold itself ensure that you will have a unique counter.

Yes some may be similar but never a replica.

I can make these in single long Counters but they have to be done of site. This is not the problem! When we grind and polish your top we make a mess, dust and cement mud all over!! YES we do take care to limit this and do clean as best possible to help get your home back in order.

The Product

Concrete tops are extremely trendy, they are also substantially more versatile than the average granite.
Concrete, like marble, is porous and needs to be sealed. We use a combination of lithium based hardeners to densify the surface and a lithium based sealer to provide a gloss easily cleaned counter.
On request we will produce rough or raw concrete finishes to suite your style.
Once sealed correctly they are very hygienic.
It is not advisable to cut directly on the top, the concrete will not scratch but the sealer will and then the top could be stained. Use cutting boards, we will even create 'slots' for your cutting boards.
The concrete is very resistant to heat but the sealers not, to prevent this use wooden or steel stands or ask about trivets or custom pot stands built into the top. We are currently testing a heat resistant sealer which can eliminate the need for the trivets.
We are able to build molded sinks and drainage boards into the top, this creates a seamless hygienic wash area. It is however not advisable to use integral sinks, although very attractive the harsh work environment will eventually weaken the sealer and expose the sink to staining.

We are also developing a 'GREEN' counter. We currently use recycled and processed fly ash in our mix, this not only reduces the price slightly but makes a substantially harder counter. We are currently investigating the use of recycled glass and glass fiber to not only improve our carbon footprint but also improve the quality of the product.
